Martin Lea will be leading the Medway Valley Walk

on Thursday 22nd August 2024 to start at 10.15am

The walk will commence and finish at

The Carpenters Arms, Three Elms Lane, Tonbridge  TN11 0AD

If you are coming from the Hadlow direction, please note that Three Elms Lane is first on the left just past a filling station, and the pub is not far along the lane on the left.

The walk is about 4 and a half miles long, through attractive countryside  and also along The River Medway, where we will visit two locks and also inspect some WW2 Defences. The Medway Valley at this location is pretty level with no steep gradients, and no stiles. On the way back the path runs alongside the orchards of the Hadlow Place Estate.

Lunch will be at the Carpenters Arms. Please will you notify me by Tuesday 20th Aug. if you will be joining the walk and whether you wish to have lunch, so that I can book a table. Anyone who just wants to come for lunch will be welcome.
