Speaker:  Peter Griffiths whose talk is entitled “The History of Champagne”. Peter, a former British Airways Pilot, will talk about the early inadvertent sparkling wines, to the multi-national Champagne Houses of today. The talk debunks some of the myths about Champagne, its origin, and the part played by the monk Dom Perignon. The talk charts how the wine, the wine making process and the taste, have changed over the years. He regrets he will have no free samples !!
