Speaker:  Adrian Phillips “Winston’s Bandits.”  Adrian’s talk is based on his recent book of the same title. Churchill was a warm and emotional man who needed the support of friends and family. Through his wilderness years when he battled to rearm Britain against Hitler, a small handful of individuals gave him that backing.  The story of these friendships adds an unfamiliar dimension to the story of Churchill as a towering unique figure in history.
