A circular walk from The Bull pub in Otford has been selected by Martin Lea for the 25th September Probus walk.
The Bull has recently been refurbished, Martin & I tested the food at the pub which was good and checked the proposed walk route. The Bull is located opposite the public car park, adjacent to the Otford recreation Ground.  Parking for 4 hours is £2.  The food menu may be viewed on the pub website ‘thebull-otford.co.uk‘.  The walk is on mostly level ground with no obstacles.  Length of walk just under 4 miles, should be completed in less than 2 hours.
Due to personal commitments the walk cannot take place until the last week in September.
Please respond to me by Sept 22nd whether you will be joining this walk, or just joining the lunch.  Thank you. Nigel Judd

August Walk

The Probus walkers enjoyed a ramble around Addington on 24 August.

The walk was led by Martin Lea.  It started from the Angel Pub carpark in Addington and finished there with lunch.  There were great views of the North Downs and Kentish countryside and we were able to spend time looking around Coldrum Long Barrow, which dates from 3985-3855 BCE (The Long Barrow is over 1000 years older than Stonehenge).”
