October’s speaker is Steve Bird whose talk is entitled “Wolfe at Quebec”.

There was a time when every Briton knew of Wolfe’s triumph at Quebec which secured Canada for the British. What really happened though?  Steve will look at a campaign marred by arguments on both sides and which appeared lost only to be won by an enormous gamble at the 11^th hour………and nearly lost again. This will be the fifth talk that Steve has given Probus, a testament to how good and interesting his talks are.
